Title: Urgent call for the release of Azerbaijani prisoners in Iran’s prisons, including Evin and Tabriz, amid rising tensions and insecurity
We, the undersigned, urgently demand the release of Azerbaijani prisoners in Evin, Tabriz, and other Iranian prisons due to deep concern over their dire humanitarian and legal situation.
These prisoners are unjustly trapped in closed, dangerous environments, surrounded by escalating military tensions and deep insecurity. In such crises, prison conditions often collapse, denying people even the barest necessities for survival. Each day of continued detention exposes them to fear, deprivation, and despair, endangering both their bodies and minds. Keeping them in these inhumane conditions is a stark betrayal of the fundamental human rights that protect life, security, and dignity.
Given these clear risks—unintended harm, restricted medical care, and basic need shortages—we insist on urgent, responsible measures now to protect the lives and health of these prisoners.
Accordingly, we demand:
- Immediate release of Azerbaijani prisoners in Iran, including Evin and Tabriz
- Guaranteed safety and full medical access for all prisoners until release
- Total compliance with human rights and international detention standards
Safeguarding human life, especially now, is a non-negotiable moral and legal obligation. We demand that responsible institutions recognize the severity of this crisis and act immediately; delay is unacceptable.

دادگاه تجدیدنظر استان آذربایجان شرقی، ۱۳ فعال تُرک آذربایجانی را مجموعا به ۸۱ سال و پنج ماه حبس محکوم کرد.
این حکم روز شنبه ۲۶ اردیبهشت ماه توسط دادگاه تجدیدنظر استان آذربایجان شرقی، به وکیل این افراد ابلاغ شده است. طبق رای صادره، این افراد مجموعا به ۸۱ سال و پنج ماه حبس محکوم شدند.
