This petition is being submitted to draw attention to the case of Khosrow Alikordi, a lawyer who has actively provided legal representation to families involved in the 2022 protests in Iran. Mr. Alikordi has been a long-standing advocate for those seeking legal redress and has been involved in various cases since the onset of the Women, Life, Freedom protests.
According to the ruling of the first branch of the Mashhad Islamic Revolution Court, Mr. Alikordi has been sentenced to one year in prison, a two-year ban from practicing law, and exile to Nehbandan city on fabricated charges. The nature of his work, centered on legal representation and advocacy, is a cornerstone of any legal system that upholds the principles of justice and human rights.
The role of defense lawyers is crucial in ensuring the integrity of the legal process, as they are fundamental in providing legal representation and upholding the rights of individuals. The right to a fair trial, including access to legal counsel, is a principle that is widely recognized in international human rights law.
We, the undersigned, respectfully request the judicial authorities of Iran to review the case against Mr. Khosrow Alikordi. We urge a reconsideration of the charges and the sentences in light of the principles of justice and the role of legal practitioners in upholding human rights. Additionally, we appeal to international bodies to engage in dialogue with the Islamic Republic of Iran regarding this matter, emphasizing the importance of legal representation and the protection of human rights defenders.

خسرو علیکردی بازداشت شد
آقای علیکردی که با رای باز درحال سپری کردن دوران محکومیت خود بود، توسط قاضی ناظر زندان وکیل آباد مشهد احضار و بازداشت شده است.

خسرو علیکردی راهی زندان میشود
خسرو علیکردی، وکیل دادگستری، اعلام کرد که روز شنبه ۲۸ بهمن بابت یک سال حکم حبس راهی زندان خواهد شد.
او در حساب کاربری اینستاگرام خود نوشت:
فردا بیست و هشتم بهمن در حالی برای اجرای مجازات یک سال زن د ان،موضوع حکم ظالمانه
#قاضی_متخلف_هادی_منصوری،به شعبه ۲۱ اجرای احکام کیفری مشهد میروم تا به ز ن د ا ن وکیل آباد مشهد شَوَم که جمهوری اسلامی در حال برگزاری جشن انقلاب بهمن پنجاه و هفتی است که یکی از شعارهای اصلی آن«آزادی…!!!» بود
آن همه فریاد آزادی زدید
نوبتی افتاد و زندانبان شدید…
شکوه،عزت،شادکامی برای هموطنان شریفم

سربلندی،آزادی و آبادی برای وطن را به دل آرزومندم -
خسرو علیکردی از احضارش به دادسرای انقلاب مشهد در پروندهای جدید خبر داد
او در حساب کاربری ایکس خود نوشت:

بکسال زندان
دو سال تبعید
دو سال محرومیت از و کالت
دو سال ممنوعیت خروج از کشور
دوسال منع فعالیت در فضای مجازی
که قبلا حکم قطعی علیه #خسرو_علیکردی صادر کرده بود را کافی ندانست
مجدداً پرونده اتهامی فعالیت تبلیغی علیه نظام جمهوری اسلامی علیه #خسرو_علیکردی تشکیل داد.» -
حکم زندان خسرو علیکردی تایید شد
آقای علیکردی، روز شنبه ۳۰ دی با انتشار تصویری از حکم دادگاه تجدیدنظر نوشت که حکم یک سال زندان، دو سال تبعید به شهرستان نهبندان، دو سال ممنوعیت از اشتغال به شغل وکالت، دو سال ممنوعیت خروج از کشور و دو سال ممنوعیت وی از فعالیت در فضای مجازی عینا تایید شده است.
