Saeed Masouri, born in 1965, has been unjustly imprisoned for 23 years since January 2001 without a single day of leave or family visits. Currently, he is being held in Qezal Hesar Prison in Karaj, along with 13 others, including Saman Yasin, the Kurdish protest singer, and is now on a hunger strike. Saeed Masouri was sentenced to death in a ten-minute trial on charges of association with the People's Mojahedin Organization (MEK). This sentence was later reduced to life imprisonment. He is renowned for his brave efforts in exposing the dire prison conditions in Iran through countless published letters. Saeed Masouri's courage and dedication have incurred the regime's anger and resentment, resulting in no respite for him.

In his latest letter, Mr. Masouri describes the inhumane conditions in Qezal-Hesar prison: "There is not the least possibility of nutrition, health, treatment, and even half a meter of space to sit in Qezal-Hesar prison. They put 15-16 people in a room of almost 9 meters, and they don't even have the right to protest. No water, no food, no decent human clothing."

We, the undersigned, demand the immediate release of Saeed Masouri. We implore human rights organizations to take urgent action and raise awareness about his unjust imprisonment and the dire conditions he is currently facing. Saeed Masouri's continued detention is a clear violation of his fundamental human rights, and it is our responsibility to stand up for justice and advocate for his freedom.
