Note: Mr. Nasser Fahimi, a political prisoner, a Sunni Kurdish doctor, about whom a petition was previously published in 2020, was released from prison on January 21, 2023. After his release, Mr. Fahimi once again requested the cancellation of his Iranian citizenship due to social deprivation and the inhuman behavior of the security authorities.

After I, Nasser Fahimi, son of Salam, requested to revoke my Iranian citizenship, the Tehran Judicial Assembly rejected this request. The decision issued under number 9709970010801834, dated February 17, 2019, is from the 109th legal branch of this judicial assembly. In this decision, referring to Article 41 of the Constitution and Article 988 of the Common Civil Code, approved by the government, it has been said that the rejection of citizenship is not within the judiciary's jurisdiction, and the government should make this decision.
After my release from prison on January 21, 2023, according to the decision of the judicial and security authorities, I was condemned to social exclusions, including exclusion from the right to practice medicine and exclusion from any employment and economic activities in Iran. They have imposed this decision on me in a vague, unclear manner without any official ruling or notification.
For this reason, I urgently request Mr. Raisi's cabinet to revoke my Iranian citizenship by officially announcing it. I emphasize that the revocation of my Iranian citizenship must be formally announced.
