We address you with grave concern regarding the recent deportation of Shahriar Baratinia, a respected political activist and former political prisoner from Yasouj City, Iran. Having resided in Turkey without a formal residence permit, Mr. Baratinia was deported to Iran. Iranwire reports that he was taken from the Doghobayzid camp in eastern Turkey to the Iranian border and handed over to Iranian officials at the Bazargan border on Thursday, August 3, 2023, around noon local time.
Furthermore, on June 25, Elias Torabi Eskandari, an Iranian asylum seeker, was relocated to a deportation camp in Şanlıurfa province after his arrest during the Istanbul pride parade.
The Islamic Republic of Iran is known internationally for its pervasive human rights abuses, targeting religious minorities, political dissidents, women, and gender minorities. Returning Iranian refugees to such conditions exposes them to the severe risks of torture, imprisonment, and potential execution.
We, the undersigned, express our profound dismay over your recent actions that led to the deportation of Iranian refugees back to Iran. Such decisions contravene international human rights standards and international law. The Turkish government bears an essential duty to safeguard asylum seekers rather than expel them to nations where they face persecution. We earnestly implore you to reconsider your stance and ensure the safety of Iranian asylum seekers within Turkey’s borders.

ساناز جلیلی، پناهجوی ایرانی ۳۲ ساله پس از صدور حکم دیپورت پلیس مهاجرت ترکیه، خودکشی کرد و جان باخت
#ساناز_جلیلی پناهجوی ایرانی بود که بیش از ۷ سال در ترکیه تقاضای پناهندگی داده بود اما حکم دیپورتی او به ایران صادر شده بود. ساناز جلیلی روز اول می در آنتالیا دست به خودکشی زد و جان باخت.

شهریار براتی‌نیا به ۵ سال و ۸ ماه زندان محکوم شد
شهریار براتی‌نیا، فعال سیاسی از سوی شعبه ۲۶ دادگاه انقلاب تهران به ۵ سال و ۸ ماه زندان و شش میلیون تومان جزای نقدی محکوم شد.
دادگاه این فعال سیاسی که دوازدهم مرداد ماه سال ۱۴۰۲ در مرز بازرگان توسط پلیس ترکیه، به نیروهای جمهوری اسلامی ایران تحویل داده شده بود، ١٩ آذر ماه ١٤٠٢ در شعبه ۲۶ دادگاه انقلاب تهران به ریاست قاضی ایمان افشاری برگزار شده بود.
حکم صادره این فعال سیاسی با اتهام «اجتماع و تبانی علیه امنیت کشور» به سه سال و هفت ماه و «تبلیغ علیه جمهوری اسلامی ایران» به هشت ماه و از بابت خروج غیرقانونی از مرز به شش میلیون تومان جزای نقدی صادر شده است.
این مساله بار دیگر شرایط نامناسب پناهجویان ایرانی در ترکیه و خطر استرداد پناهجویان را نمایان می‌کند که تحویل آنها به جمهوری اسلامی ایران به هر دلیل و بهانه مغایر با تمام موازین حقوق بشر است. -
نخستین جلسه دادگاه شهریار براتی‌نیا برگزار شد
جلسه نخست دادگاه #شهریار_براتی_نیا، زندانی سیاسی سابق و از فعالین بختیاری اهل یاسوج برگزار شد. وی در این دادگاه به ریاست قاضی ایمان افشاری که پس از بیش از چهار ماه از دیپورت ش از ترکیه به ایران و بازداشتش در داخل کشور، برگزار شد با اتهاماتی شامل "اجتماع و تبانی علیه امنیت کشور" و "تبلیغ علیه جمهوری اسلامی ایران" مواجه شده است.
