ما امضا کنندگان، این دادخواست را در ارتباط با تحقیقات در مورد سقوط غم‌انگیز پرواز شماره ۷۵۲-PS هواپیمایی بین‌المللی اوکراین (بوئینگ ۷۳۷-۸۰۰) در نزدیکی تهران تنظیم کرده‌ایم.
سقوط این هواپیما در تاریخ ۸ ژانویه/ ۱۸ دی موجب کشته شدن تمامی ۱۷۶ سرنشین آن شد که بسیاری از آنها ایران-کانادایی بودند.
در حال حاضر، مقام‌های امنیتی آمریکایی گفته‌اند هواپیمای اوکراینی به دلیل اصابت موشک (یا موشک‌هایی) سقوط کرده است. همه ما، به ویژه خانواده‌های عزادار، می‌خواهیم حقیقت را بدانیم.
با توجه به اینکه بیشتر سرنشینان این هواپیما شهروندان ایران و کانادا بوده‌اند، هر دوی این کشورها باید در فرآیند تحقیقات در مورد علت این سقوط درگیر باشند.
بنابراین، ما از شما می‌خواهیم که:
۱- تحقیقاتی کامل و شامل در رابطه با این رخداد توسط نهادی مستقل از دولت ایران و شرکت هواپیمایی اوکراین صورت بگیرد.
۲- کانادا در روند این تحقیقات با پیروی از قوانین و معیارهای بین‌المللی نقش پررنگ‌تری داشته باشد.
۳- هر دو دولت کانادا و ایران پاسخ منسجمی را در رابطه با علت سقوط این هواپیما منتشر کنند.
ما همدرد کسانی هستیم که عزیزانشان را در سقوط هواپیمای اوکراین از دست دادند. پرسش‌های بسیاری داریم و حقمان است که پاسخ بگیریم.

To: Hassan Rouhani, the President of Iran and Justin Trudeau, the Prime Minister of Canada
We the undersigned are writing to you about the tragic crash of the Ukrainian International Airlines Boeing 737-800 near Tehran on January 8th, 2020, killing all 176 passengers on board, many of whom were Iranian-Canadians.
At the moment, given the recent statements by the United States intelligence sources stating that the plane was downed by a missile(s), it is important for all of us, in particular, the grieving families, to know the truth.
Given that the majority of those killed in this accident are the citizens of Iran and Canada, these two countries are stakeholders in any investigations for the cause of the crash.
Therefore, we demand:1 - A complete and thorough investigation of this accident by a body that is independent of the government of Iran and the Ukrainian Airline.2- Greater involvement of Canada in the investigation following international law and standards.3 - A coherent answer from both the government of Iran and Canada on what caused the airplane to crash.
Our thoughts and prayers are with those who are mourning the loss of their loved ones in this crash. We have many questions and we deserve answers.
