Daadkhast serves as the voice of the people. It allows any citizen to initiate a petition on a range of issues, quickly becoming a pivotal platform for voices across Iranian society. Our users have championed various causes affecting local and global communities, such as advocating for prisoners’ release, pushing for legislative changes, supporting women’s rights to access sports stadiums, addressing internet blackouts, and much more. To date, Daadkhast has facilitated nearly 700 petitions, garnering over 280,000 signatures.
Creating a petition on Daadkhast can be done without special expertise or advanced writing skills. Whether you are troubled by an issue, witness discrimination or injustice, or desire to alter an unfair situation, you can catalyze change by simply describing your cause. Other concerned citizens can then read and support your petition by signing it.
Our process maintains the authenticity of your voice; petitions are typically published as submitted. However, the Daadkhast team is always on hand to assist with editing for clarity, enhancing the text, and adding visual elements to your petition. Once live, we actively promote your petition on social media platforms, including Telegram, Twitter, and Instagram, to maximize support. Additionally, Telegram users have the convenience of signing petitions directly through our dedicated channel.
Daadkhast is Independent
Daadkhast originated from the idea of creating a petitioning platform at TribuneZamaneh.com, a citizen forum established by the Zamaneh Media Foundation. While it is an initiative of the Zamaneh Foundation, Daadkhast operates with complete editorial independence and is driven by Iranian citizens committed to justice. It is a platform for everyone who seeks a channel to advocate for fairness and change.
The need for such a platform became evident due to the high frequency of appeals, collective letters from activists, and justice-oriented content published on TribuneZamaneh. Inspired by the successes and methodologies of websites like Change.org, Daadkhast was designed to facilitate the drafting and realization of mass notices and petitions. Our platform is a neutral conduit that faithfully amplifies the voices of citizens calling for justice across all societal sectors. Daadkhast does not promote any political, ideological, or moral views and is dedicated to preserving the territorial integrity of Iran. As such, it prohibits the publication of petitions that contravene this principle. While we reserve the right to edit petitions for clarity and simplicity, the responsibility for each petition’s assertions, content, and orientation rests solely with its authors and initiators.
